Gift Certificate Terms

On this page you will find the terms governing the sale, delivery, validity, and redemption of Magic Mirror gift certificates.

1. Introduction

These terms govern the sale, delivery, validity, and redemption of Magic Mirror gift certificates.

By purchasing a gift certificate, the customer confirms that they have read and agree to these terms.

3. Types of Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for the following session lengths:

  • 30 minutes
  • 60 minutes
  • 120 minutes

A gift certificate entitles the holder to book a session of the corresponding duration. It is not a cash balance or a gift card with freely spendable value.

4. Gift Certificate Validity

A gift certificate is valid for 9 months from the date of purchase.

The purchase date is stated on the certificate.

After the validity period expires, the certificate can no longer be redeemed unless the studio explicitly decides otherwise.

5. Delivery Methods

E-certificate

The e-certificate is sent by e-mail in PDF format.

Physical certificate by post

A physical certificate can be sent by post. The delivery fee is 89 CZK. Delivery usually takes up to 5 business days.

Postal delivery is available for addresses in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Personal pickup

A physical certificate can also be prepared for personal pickup at the Magic Mirror studio by prior arrangement:

Restriction for the 120-minute certificate

The 120-minute gift certificate is available in digital form only.

6. Redeeming the Certificate

A gift certificate can be redeemed when booking a session of the corresponding duration. If the recipient chooses a longer session or comes with a larger group, any surcharge is handled directly during the booking process.

A gift certificate may only be used once.

7. Single Use and Non-divisibility

A gift certificate is single-use and non-divisible.

This means that:

  • one certificate cannot be divided across multiple separate bookings,
  • only part of the certificate cannot be used now with the remaining part saved for later,
  • for example, a 60-minute certificate cannot be split into two separate 30-minute bookings.

A certificate may only be used:

  • for a booking of the same duration,
  • or as the basis for a longer booking with the applicable surcharge.

8. Reservation Coverage

A gift certificate covers a booking of the same session length, regardless of whether the booking is made for a weekday or a weekend.

This means:

  • a 30-minute certificate fully covers a 30-minute booking,
  • a 60-minute certificate fully covers a 60-minute booking,
  • a 120-minute certificate fully covers a 120-minute booking,

both on weekdays and on weekends.

9. Surcharges

A surcharge may only arise in the following cases:

a) Longer session

If the recipient chooses a longer session, the surcharge is the difference between the package tiers:

  • from 30 minutes to 60 minutes: +1000 CZK
  • from 60 minutes to 120 minutes: +2000 CZK
  • from 30 minutes to 120 minutes: +3000 CZK

b) Additional guests

If the number of guests exceeds the number included in the selected package, a surcharge of 500 CZK per additional person applies according to the current booking rules.

Additional guest surcharges are governed by the valid Reservation / Terms & Conditions.

10. What the Certificate Does Not Represent

A gift certificate does not represent a cash balance, does not create a remaining balance, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If the certificate is not used in accordance with these terms, no entitlement arises to any partial refund, transfer of unused value, or other financial compensation.

11. Bookings Paid with a Gift Certificate

Bookings paid for with a gift certificate are also subject to the separate Reservation / Terms & Conditions of Magic Mirror.

The same studio and booking rules apply as for standard bookings, especially regarding:

  • booking date and time,
  • number of guests,
  • studio rules,
  • cleanliness of shoes,
  • cancellation or rescheduling.

12. Cancellation of a Booking Paid with a Gift Certificate

If a booking paid with a gift certificate is cancelled or rescheduled more than 48 hours before the start of the session, the certificate code may be reactivated.

If a booking is cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the session, there is no automatic right to reactivation of the certificate.

In exceptional and justified cases, the studio may, at its own discretion, offer an alternative date.

13. Loss, Misuse, and Responsibility for the Code

The holder is responsible for keeping the certificate and its code safe. The studio is not responsible for loss of the certificate, sharing the code with a third party, or unauthorized use of the certificate if it was redeemed using a valid code.

In case of doubt, the studio reserves the right to verify the validity and status of the certificate before accepting it.

14. Refunds and Withdrawal

A gift certificate cannot be returned or exchanged for money once it has been redeemed.

If the gift certificate has already been used or actively applied to a booking, no refund is possible.

If applicable law requires otherwise in a specific case, the relevant legal regulations shall apply.

16. Final Provisions

The studio reserves the right to reasonably amend or update these terms.

The terms valid at the time of purchase of the gift certificate are binding for the customer.
